In schools across the country, middle and high school students are catching the teaching bug!
Child Lures Prevention's
Think First & Stay Safe School Program has become a popular project for students interested in making
a difference. It has been incorporated into social studies, public speaking and theater class,
senior projects, and community outreach programs.
Testimonial:
"As a professional communicator, I was most impressed with the concept of young
people teaching other young people. It seems to me that the trust and belief level
was greater between these teens and my first and third-graders because of proximity
of age than it would have been had an adult authority figure made the presentation.
I sincerely hope that you have plans to enlarge the scope of this program."

With adult training and supervision, motivated students view the "Training for Prevention"
video, study the Presenter's Instruction Guide, and practice delivering presentations. Some
students videotape their practice sessions to review and critique. Once middle/high
school students are adequately trained, they present the program to elementary students.
Elementary student response to peer teaching has been consistently and overwhelmingly positive.
Testimonial:
"I assigned two girls to a classroom. One was the primary presenter and the other helped
with the props and added additional comments. The girls did a great job and loved it, and
the elementary students responded so wonderfully. The teachers raved about the program and
spoke of the discussions that followed after we left the classrooms...The impact on the
parents has been terrific."

Since the inception of the Child Lures Prevention peer teaching project at All Saints Episcopal
School, the program has been directly credited with saving five children from criminal
abduction. In addition, Headmaster Ken Bastian firmly believes that untold numbers of
children have been spared sexual abuse as a result of what they¹ve learned during
student-taught Child Lures Prevention presentations.
Testimonial:
"A dedicated group of eighth and ninth grade students have taught Child Lures to nearly
one thousand elementary students. I can't begin to describe the overwhelmingly positive
response from parents, teachers, and, most importantly, students...They have done much to
impact the lives of so many!"
